Writer's Block: It’s a small world

Where is your happiest place on earth?

The seashore at sunset

Like a lot of people, I've mostly abandoned my LJ in favor of tumblr.

But I mostly use mine for rants and raves on DC comics and fanart. Won't give you the link, you can find it it you feel like guessing hard enough.

Writer's Block: Waitin' for a super name

If you were a superhero, what would your superhero name be?

Sloth-girl! with the power of... laziness!

I haven't found any new anime I like and haven't been participating in the fandoms (the last new series I liked were Baccanno and Monster). I pretty much have all the series I want, with a few exceptions of old series that could use a re-release. The only things I'm looking forward to are a few continuations of older series. Ah well, that saves me money-- anime/manga habits are very expensive, as they saying goes "crack is cheaper".

Instead I've shifted over to American superhero comics and cartoons... not sure if that's moving up in the geek world, moving down, or moving laterally.

I'm thinking laterally.

lettuce rejoice

I guess I better post an entry if LJ is threatening to delete inactive journals. But I hate talking about my own life in any permanently posted way so...
Time for a random musing.

I have a brilliant idea. The reason most diets fail is because fattening food is delicious and good-for-you-food is nowhere near as tasty or downright yucky. So, instead of forcing people to do something they don't enjoy, why not change what's at the core... if they can't make diet food as tasty as the fattening version (some are, most aren't) why not change people's taste buds so they only crave the healthy stuff? Splice the DNA of our tongues with a rabbit's so we all like to eat more greens. GET ON IT SCIENCE.

Silva Noir and David Xilvrin

Hi, this is SilvaNoir (that's an artist alias, my real name is "Charlene") from other art galleries... like FA: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/silvanoir/ , VCL: http://us.vclart.net/vcl/Artists/Silva-Noir/ , and DeviantArt: http://silvanoir.deviantart.com/ . The "Xilvrin" comes from the last name of one of my characters, David Xilvrin (whom I don't really write about anymore). I'm not really keeping a journal here, just using this so I can post in other friends journals an in communites. and generally be a stupid fangirl. heh.
